Car Lease Calculator
Estimate monthly lease payments from the capitalized cost, residual value, lease length, money factor, any cap-cost reduction, and a tax rate you enter.
How is a car lease payment estimated?
The estimate separates monthly depreciation from the rent charge: depreciation is adjusted capitalized cost minus residual value, divided by the term; the rent charge is their sum multiplied by the money factor. An optional entered tax rate is applied to the pre-tax payment.
Frequently asked questions
How is a car lease payment estimated?
The estimate separates monthly depreciation from the rent charge: depreciation is adjusted capitalized cost minus residual value, divided by the term; the rent charge is their sum multiplied by the money factor. An optional entered tax rate is applied to the pre-tax payment.
Are my lease details uploaded?
No. The estimate runs in this browser tab. Inputs are not uploaded or automatically saved.
What is the money factor?
It is a lease pricing input used by this estimate in the rent-charge formula. Enter the factor from a quote; this tool does not convert an APR or verify a lender’s method.
Does the monthly estimate include every lease charge?
No. The optional tax is applied to this estimate’s pre-tax payment only. Registration, acquisition and disposition fees, insurance, mileage charges, local tax treatment, incentives and amounts due at signing may change an actual quote.
Is this a loan payment calculator?
No. A lease estimate includes a residual value and a rent charge. It does not calculate ownership, a loan amortization schedule, vehicle value, or whether a lease is affordable.
