How does the chore chart maker work?
Enter each person on a new line. Add chores as “name | times per week | effort points” (1–7 times, 1–5 points), choose 1–12 weeks and generate. Each occurrence is assigned once, spread across the week, and people with the lowest accumulated effort are considered first.
Frequently asked questions
How does the chore chart maker work?
Enter each person on a new line. Add chores as “name | times per week | effort points” (1–7 times, 1–5 points), choose 1–12 weeks and generate. Each occurrence is assigned once, spread across the week, and people with the lowest accumulated effort are considered first.
Are names or chores uploaded?
No. Names and tasks remain in this browser tab. The tool does not save them or send them to a server; copying, printing or downloading is an action you choose.
How does the chore chart balance work?
Each chore occurrence adds its effort points to the assigned person. The generator gives the next chore to someone with a low accumulated point total and uses rotating tie-breaks. Points are only estimates you enter.
Can I choose how often a chore appears?
Yes. Give each chore 1–7 occurrences per week. Occurrences are spread across different days, then assigned to a person.
Are names or chores saved online?
No. The chart is made in this browser. It is only copied, printed or downloaded if you choose those actions.
