CPM calculator
CPM means cost per thousand ad impressions. Enter two values to estimate the third; change them to compare simple campaign scenarios.
How do I calculate CPM?
Divide the ad spend by the number of impressions, then multiply by 1,000. For example, $10 over 1,000 impressions gives a CPM of $10. The currency is whatever you used for spend.
Frequently asked questions
How do I calculate CPM?
Divide the ad spend by the number of impressions, then multiply by 1,000. For example, $10 over 1,000 impressions gives a CPM of $10. The currency is whatever you used for spend.
Are my campaign values uploaded?
No. The calculation runs in this browser. Your spend, CPM and impression values are not sent to a server.
Can I calculate spend or impressions instead?
Yes. Choose the value to find, then enter the other two. Spend equals impressions divided by 1,000 times CPM. Impressions equal spend divided by CPM times 1,000.
Does CPM predict clicks or campaign results?
No. CPM is cost per thousand ad impressions. It does not tell you clicks, unique people, viewability, conversions or the results an advertising platform will deliver.
