Private DICOM Image Viewer

Open a DICOM image or select one local series. Scroll through ordered slices, adjust window and level, and inspect technical image metadata. Files stay in this browser.

Your inputs stay on this device. Nothing is uploaded.

Use the tool

Medical files can contain identifying information. This viewer does not upload them and hides common identity fields, but review your screen before sharing it.

Choose one image or a series to begin.

Supported images

This viewer reads DICOM Part 10 files with uncompressed Implicit VR Little Endian or Explicit VR Little Endian pixel data. It supports single-frame 8-bit or 16-bit monochrome images, including MONOCHROME1 inversion.

Privacy and safe use

Selected files are read on this device and decoded in a temporary Web Worker. The worker is terminated when processing finishes or you cancel. Patient name, ID, birth date and accession fields are not displayed. This page does not upload or save images and has no screenshot-sharing feature.

DICOM viewer questions

Are my medical images uploaded?

No. The selected file bytes are read locally by your browser and a temporary local worker. This tool has no upload, remote PACS or DICOMweb connection.

Can I use this viewer to diagnose a condition?

No. It is a limited technical viewer for supported files, not a medical device or diagnostic workstation. Use validated clinical software and ask a qualified clinician to interpret medical images.

Formats and limitations

This is a basic file viewer, not a PACS, DICOMweb client, radiology workstation or diagnostic device. It does not support compressed transfer syntaxes, color images, multi-frame objects, presentation states, overlays, structured reports, enhanced multi-frame studies or clinical measurements. Do not use it to make or change a diagnosis. If a study fails, the viewer reports the unsupported feature instead of showing a blank image.
