Hitori number grid

This page creates puzzles locally and accepts only grids with one rule-valid solution. New puzzles can take a brief moment on slower devices.

How to play

Tap or focus a number and press Enter or Space to mark it black. Marked cells are crossed out; unmarked cells stay white. A valid board has no repeated white number in any row or column, no side-touching black cells, and one connected white area. Check the board or request a hint when you need help.

How do you solve a Hitori puzzle?

Mark a cell black to remove its number. Each row and column must have no repeated white numbers, black cells cannot touch horizontally or vertically, and every white cell must connect to the others through sides. Use Check board for rule feedback or request a one-cell hint.
