ICS Calendar Viewer

View an iCalendar .ics file without connecting an online calendar. Filter events by date and text, expand supported recurring events and export the visible list as CSV.

Read-only ICS viewer. This is not a calendar editor or sync service. Unsupported recurrence options are reported rather than guessed.

If both are provided, the selected file is used. The example shows a recurring event with an excluded date.

No calendar account connection or network lookup. Floating times use your device’s local time; TZID times use their stated time zone.

Local limits: 5 MiB, 2,000 events, 10,000 displayed occurrences and a date range of up to 366 days. Complex files may use device memory; a computer is recommended.

How do I open an ICS calendar file?

Choose a local .ics file or paste its text, select a date range and view the matching events. The viewer expands supported daily, weekly, monthly and yearly rules and applies EXDATE exceptions.

Frequently asked questions

How do I open an ICS calendar file?

Choose a local .ics file or paste its text, select a date range and view the matching events. The viewer expands supported daily, weekly, monthly and yearly rules and applies EXDATE exceptions.

Is my calendar uploaded?

No. The calendar is read in this browser only. UsefulVerse does not connect to your calendar account, upload the file or save your events.

Does the ICS viewer show recurring events?

It expands daily, weekly, monthly and yearly rules in the selected date range and applies EXDATE exclusions. Unsupported recurrence options are rejected rather than guessed.

Can it connect to Google Calendar or Outlook?

No. It reads a file you choose or text you paste. It does not sign in, fetch an online calendar or sync changes.

Which time zone does it use?

A TZID on an event is interpreted with that zone. UTC timestamps stay UTC; floating event times use your device time zone. The list is formatted in your browser’s local zone.
