Image color picker

Choose a photo, point to a pixel and save its color. Zoom in for detail, then copy one color or your full palette.

Samples use the browser-decoded sRGB pixel, including transparency. Processing stays on this device. Maximum: 12 megapixels; larger images need a smaller copy. A computer is recommended for large images.

How do I pick a color from an image?

Choose a supported image and point to the pixel you want. Use the zoom menu for detail, or focus the preview and use arrow keys to move one pixel at a time. Add colors to your palette, then copy a single value or all HEX values.

Frequently asked questions

How do I pick a color from an image?

Choose a supported image and point to the pixel you want. Use the zoom menu for detail, or focus the preview and use arrow keys to move one pixel at a time. Add colors to your palette, then copy a single value or all HEX values.

Is my image uploaded?

No. Your browser opens and samples the image on this device. The image and palette are not sent to a server.

Can I pick a transparent pixel?

Yes. The tool shows alpha and includes it in the eight-digit HEX value when the pixel is not fully opaque.

Are the sampled colors exact?

The tool reads one source pixel at its original coordinates after the browser decodes the image. The browser may convert embedded color profiles to sRGB; the displayed values are the decoded pixel values.
