JSON to Excel

Turn a JSON array or an array inside an object into an Excel workbook. Preview flattened nested fields, keep string IDs such as 001, and download XLSX locally. Nothing is uploaded.

Paste an array, an object, or an object with top-level arrays. Maximum 2 MB.

Nested object fields use dotted column names. Arrays inside a record stay as JSON text.

Everything runs here in your browser. No upload. Formula-like strings are saved as plain text.

How do I convert JSON to Excel?

Paste valid JSON and choose Preview. Pick a named top-level array if the JSON has several, check the columns, then download the XLSX file. Nested objects become dotted column names.

Frequently asked questions

How do I convert JSON to Excel?

Paste valid JSON and choose Preview. Pick a named top-level array if the JSON has several, check the columns, then download the XLSX file. Nested objects become dotted column names.

Is my JSON uploaded or are formulas run?

No. Your JSON is parsed in this browser and the workbook is created on your device. Formula-like strings are written as text, not executed. Input and workbook sizes are capped to protect browser memory.

How do I convert a JSON array to Excel?

Paste the JSON array, preview it and download the XLSX workbook. For an object that contains arrays, choose which top-level array should become spreadsheet rows.

Can nested JSON fields become spreadsheet columns?

Yes. Nested objects flatten into dotted columns such as profile.city. Arrays inside a record stay as compact JSON text so their structure is not silently expanded into extra rows.

Will IDs like 001 lose their leading zeros?

No. JSON strings are written as spreadsheet text, including numeric-looking IDs such as 001. JSON numbers remain numbers. Formula-like strings are stored as text and are not run.
