Worked example
If the three highest adjusted years are NOK 600,000, NOK 550,000 and NOK 500,000, their average is NOK 550,000. At 66%, a full-degree, full-insurance-time gross scenario is NOK 363,000 a year before any personal minimum-rate rule.
How this scenario works
For each of the five years, the tool caps pensionable income at 6G. It averages the three highest capped figures, applies NAV’s 66% rate, and then applies the disability degree and insurance-time percentage you enter from your NAV decision. If you know your personal annual minimum from NAV, you can enter it; the higher amount is shown.
Common questions
What does “Norway disability benefit” mean here?
It means Norway’s public uføretrygd administered by NAV. The page is for understanding a Norwegian scenario, even when the interface is in another language.
Which income figures should I enter?
Use pensionable income for each of the five years before the illness or injury, already adjusted to current value as NAV does. Do not enter raw historical wages unless they have been adjusted.
Does this include the minimum guarantee?
Only if you enter the annual minimum amount NAV confirmed for your own case, adjusted to the same disability degree and insurance-time fraction. The tool does not guess your minimum rate.
Is this my expected payment after tax?
No. It is a gross annual and monthly scenario, not a decision or payment forecast. Tax, supplements, eligibility, special rules and personal adjustments are not calculated.
Scope and limits
Norwegian rules only. This is an educational gross scenario, not an eligibility check, NAV decision, advice or payment guarantee. It excludes minimum rates unless you enter your own NAV-confirmed figure, insurance-time calculation unless you enter NAV’s percentage, child supplement, tax, work-income reductions, young-disabled rules, occupational injury rules, cross-border coordination, transition cases and other personal exceptions. NAV can change rules and individual decisions; check the official pages and calculator for your case.
