The standard 52-card deck is dealt evenly. Each player bids 0–13 tricks; a successful nil bid scores 100 and a failed nil loses 100. Team contracts add their non-nil bids: make the total for 10 points per bid, plus one bag for each extra trick; miss it and lose 10 points per bid. Every ten accumulated bags subtract 100 points. Players must follow the suit led when possible. Spades cannot be led until broken unless a player holds only spades, and a spade beats any non-spade card.
Each overtrick is one bag. At ten bags, the team loses 100 points and keeps the remainder.
How do you play Spades here?
Each player bids how many tricks they expect, including nil for zero. South plays against three simple bots. Follow the led suit when possible; otherwise you may play any card. Spades cannot be led until broken (unless your hand contains only spades), and they trump other suits. Team bids are scored together, overtricks are bags, and each ten bags costs 100 points.

Does this Spades game connect to other people?
No. Three simple bots run in this browser. Cards, bids and scores are not uploaded or saved by UsefulVerse.
What does nil mean in Spades?
A nil bid means you expect to take zero tricks. It earns 100 points if successful and loses 100 if you take any trick; your tricks still count toward your team total.
What are bags in Spades?
Tricks above your team contract are bags. Each is worth one point, but every ten accumulated bags triggers a 100-point penalty and removes those ten bags.
Can I play Spades with other people here?
No. This is a local single-player game against three deliberately simple bots. There is no online matchmaking or multiplayer connection.
