How the clues work
Green means the letter is in the right place; yellow means it appears elsewhere; gray means no unmatched copy remains. Repeated letters are counted one at a time.
Choose your word language
Use the included Norwegian Bokmål bank, or paste/import a list in a language you choose. Imported lists are kept on this device. The list needs at least two distinct five-letter words. The game treats each user-perceived letter (grapheme) as one position, so composed accents and many multi-code-point letters work as expected.
Questions
Does this page language pick the word language?
No. Select Bokmål explicitly or import your own list and name its language. A translated page never silently switches your puzzle vocabulary.
Can I play in Spanish or another language?
Yes. Import or paste a list of five-letter words in that language. The game does not claim to provide a curated dictionary for languages without an included, licensed bank.
What does the Bokmål list contain?
It is adapted from Norsk Ordbank under CC BY 4.0. The included target list contains dictionary lemmas filtered to five letters; dictionary inclusion does not guarantee that every answer is familiar or common.
Is my custom list uploaded?
No. It is processed and saved only in this browser. You can clear the local list at any time.
Word-list coverage
Only the explicitly selected Bokmål bank is bundled. Other languages use a list you provide; no language, country, or location is inferred. The Bokmål target list is dictionary-based and may include uncommon lemmas. Daily answers are deterministic per selected bank and UTC date.
