Arithmetic only—not investment advice or a recommended allocation. You choose all target weights. Differences are target minus current values, not trading instructions. This does not model returns, taxes, fees or suitability.

Frequently asked questions

How does this portfolio allocation calculator work?

Enter 2–8 holdings, their current values and target weights that total 100%. The calculator applies those weights to your portfolio value, optionally including a new contribution.

Is my portfolio information uploaded?

No. The calculation runs in this browser. It does not connect to an account, identify securities or send your values to a server.

How do I calculate a 60/40 portfolio allocation?

Multiply the portfolio total by each target percentage. For 10,000, a 60% target is 6,000 and a 40% target is 4,000.

Can I include a new contribution?

Yes. Enter the amount and the calculator shows its split by the target weights and the resulting target values.

Does this tool tell me what to invest in?

No. It only applies target percentages and values that you enter. It does not suggest holdings or provide investment advice.
