A quick example
A pair of 8s can be beaten by a pair of Kings, but not by one Ace. You may pass; if someone else climbs, you can still play when your turn comes around again.
How to play
This is a local President-style shedding game with a small set of group rules you can choose before each match. Play with three to six players using one standard 52-card deck, or seven to eight using two decks; there are no jokers. The 3 of clubs leads by default, but you can let player one start. Play one to four cards of the same rank. On a trick, each play must contain the same number of cards and have a higher rank; 2 is highest, then ace down to 3. You may pass even when you can play; choose whether passing removes that player from the current trick. When every other active player has passed, the trick is cleared and the last player to play leads again. Between deals, choose whether finish positions exchange cards. The President earns two points and, with four or more players, the Vice President earns one. The first player to reach the target score wins. Other house rules may differ; the controls make the supported choices visible before play.
Frequently asked questions
How many people can play?
Play with three to eight seats. One deck is used for three to six players; seven or eight use two decks.
What can beat the cards on the table?
Play the same number of cards with a higher rank. Two is highest. A single card cannot beat a pair or a larger set.
Can I pass if I have a legal play?
Yes. Passing is always allowed in this version. You can play on a later turn if another player adds a higher set before the trick ends.
What happens when the trick ends?
When every other player still holding cards has passed, the pile is set aside. The last player to play leads the next trick; if they are out, the next player with cards leads.
Can we use our own group rules?
Choose who leads the first deal, whether a player can return after passing, and whether positions exchange cards between deals. Other variants may use additional rules that are not included here.

Rules and limitations
President has many house-rule variants. This version supports no jokers, equal-size climbing sets and three configurable group rules: first lead, returning after a pass and position-based card exchange. Equal-rank plays, revolutions and bomb rules are not enabled. Computer opponents make simple legal choices. This is a local single-device game, not online multiplayer.
